• What materials are your outdoor furniture pieces made from?

  Each MOD Pergola is made of premium quality powder-coated steel frame. The canopy is made with 100% solution-dyed olefin fabric.

• Is the product weatherproof?

  All steel parts have been treated with a powder-coated, high-quality surface finish that is tougher than conventional paint. Powder coating protects against scratching and potentially harmful environmental factors, including rusting caused by rain. The canopy is water-resistant, preventing water from seeping through to some degree, but it is not entirely impervious. To maximize the life of the canopy, we recommend sliding the canopy top close to prevent rainwater collection, the water weight of which could potentially damage the overhead steel parts.

• How does the product stay secure to the ground?

  Eight metal stakes are provided with each MOD kit for use on lawns or surfaces in which stakes can be easily applied. Pre-drilled eyelets are at the feet of the post, and a single eyelet is found at the bottom of each Partition Sidewall intended for these stakes.

• What add-ons are available?

  You can customize your pergola with accessories such as sunshades, steel panels, plant hooks, corner shelves, and more. Add-ons are designed to integrate seamlessly into the structure for both function and style.

• How big is the product?

  A fully assembled MOD pergola dimension is 7.5' x 7.5' x 7' or 90" x 90" x 84".

• How do I assemble the product?

  Each MOD Pergola includes all the hardware needed for assembly, i.e., bolts, as well as a hex key [Allen wrench]. A ratchet or power drill with a XX hex fitting makes for quicker assembly.

• Do you offer assembly or installation services?

  On-site installation isn't available. However, our support team can be reached by email at support@modularoutdoordesign.com for any assembly questions you may have.

• How do I keep the product in good condition?

  Each MOD pergola comes with an easy snap-on, snap-off canopy; it is always recommended to remove the canopy when not in use, especially during long intervals such as winter months, to extend the life of the canopy. If the canopy was in place during a rain shower, it is recommended to remove pools of water from the canopy to prevent stretching when it is safe to do so. If the pergola is not anchored to a surface, taking the unit down during winter is recommended. If still assembled during a snowfall, it is recommended to remove snow buildup and ice from the steel parts, when it is safe to do so.

• How do you wash and clean the product?

  The canopy can be washed by hand with a solution of soap and water and rinsed thoroughly. Mildew can be scrubbed off using a soft bristle brush, using light strokes against the canopy surface. Allow the canopy to air dry completely before stowing away to prevent deterioration. Do not machine wash or dry the canopy. As much as possible, drying the steel parts with a cloth is also recommended after a rain shower or storm.

• Do you offer accessories for the product?

  Optional add-ons to each MOD include: Plant Hangers, Steel Sidewalls, Olefin Canopy Replacements, Sunshade Screen, and more can be found in the MOD shop.

• What payment methods do you accept?

  The MOD store accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discovery at checkout.

• What is your return policy?

  If you are dissatisfied with your product for any reason within 30 days of your purchase, you can return it in its original packaging by contacting support@modularoutdoordesign.com.

• What is the warranty on the product?

• Is shipping available outside of the United States?

  MOD is currently available in the contiguous United States, Alaska, and Hawaii.

• What is the lead time for delivery?

  Shipping transit time varies from location to location. Each MOD kit and add-ons are shipped out from our location in Fairfield, NJ or Long Beach, CA. Below are typical transit times based on regions of the U.S. using UPS Ground. What is listed below is not a guarantee packages will arrive within this timeframe; this is only an estimate. To inquiry on UPS delivery days and hours, please get in touch with their customer support for more details.
