Refund policy
Shipping & Delivery:
- Free delivery to all states within the contiguous.
- All orders ship within 7 business days [Monday through Friday; excluding weekends and U.S. holidays].
- All orders ship from our warehouse in New Jersey.
- All orders are charged on the same day the order is placed.
- MOD is not responsible for lost returns/exchanges. If your package gets lost in transit, we will do everything in our power to assist you.
- Please ensure your delivery address is correct and secure. We are not responsible for items not received due to an incorrect or incomplete shipping address.
- Please be mindful that your shipping address entered can accept oversized and heavy packages. MOD pergolas ships in heavy and large cartons. Feel free to always contact us for any return question at support@modularoutdoordesign.com.
Return Policy:
- Email support@modularoutdoordesign.com to inquire about returning your merchandise within 30 days of the original delivery date.
- Please note that some returns may incur a 15% restocking fee. Shipping and handling for returned items is non-refundable.
- All returned items must be undamaged, unused and in good condition. If the canopy has any signs of use the return will not be accepted.
- We cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
- Discounted items, including items purchased with coupons are final and cannot be returned or exchanged.
- Packages cannot be forwarded to a different address in case of a change of address. The shipping address entered must be the final location of the shipment.
- Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
- Have your order number and email address along with pictures of the package received, shipping label, and product (if package has been opened) ready to send to the customer service professional who is handling your request for a return.
- Please wait for an approval to be sent to you via email. Our Return team may have further instructions.
- Returns will only be accepted if:
- The item is still in sellable condition.
- The package and product tag are all kept in good condition as received.
- The item for return is unused.
- The item is within 30 days starting on the delivery date.
Exchange:
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Refunds:
We will notify you by email once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
Lifetime Warranty:
Who is covered?
The limited lifetime warranty covers residential non-commercial setting only. This limited warranty extends only to the original purchaser. This Limited Warranty covers Covered Products purchased in the United States only. If you purchased an Modular Outdoor Design product outside the United States, your product is not covered under this warranty.
What is covered?
Modular Outdoor Design warrants all products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the warranty period. This limited warranty is valid beginning on the date of Product purchase. Modular Outdoor Design warrants the Product against peeling, rotting, cracking, blistering, pitting, warping, corroding, or abnormal discoloration/fading* under normal atmosphere and weather conditions.
*After prolonged exposure to outdoor environments, all products will experience some gradual fading over time and is considered normal (up to a standard variation determined by Delta E color measurement, not to exceed Delta 3). Degrees of fading vary depending on geographical location, air pollution, exposure and other factors.
This limited warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, abuse, improper storage or handling; improper installation, impact of foreign objects, fire, earthquake, flood, lightning, hail, hurricane, tornado or other casualty or act of God; movements, distortion, damage from air pollution, exposure to harmful chemicals varnished, or coated over manufacturer's finish; or any other deficiency caused by lack of annual preventative maintenance by the purchaser.
This limited warranty does not cover costs of removal or disposal of product, or reinstallation of replacement product. Any service provided outside the scope of this limited warranty shall be at MOD’s standard rate and terms then in effect. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, which may vary from state to state, that are not intended to exceed statutory minimum requirements beyond what is included above. This warranty does not limit the statutory obligation of the seller arising from any implied warranties. The period of warranty can only be extended in accordance with applicable law. What is NOT Covered under this Limited Warranty?
This Limited Warranty does not cover any damage due to:
- Transportation
- Improper Storage
- Improper or negligent use, handling, assembly, or care of Covered Product, including, without limitation, the use of improper cleaning products, sun-tan oils or other chemicals.
- Failure to perform any preventive maintenance.
- Modifications, unauthorized repair.
- Normal wear and tear, corrosion, rust or stains, scratches, or dents, including the rusting or tarnishing of metal materials resulting from abrasive scratches.
- Non-residential uses.
- Mold or mildew
- Bursting or cracking of tubing due to exposure to water and freezing temperatures
- Accident, abuse, neglect, theft, vandalism, pets, rodents, fire, flood, wind, hail, lightning, freezing temperatures, extreme temperatures, natural disasters or acts of God of any kind, or other external causes beyond Outer’s reasonable control.
What are my Remedies under this Limited Warranty?
If we receive a valid claim for a Defective Product within the applicable Warranty Period, we will either (a) repair the Defective Product at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts, or (b) exchange the Defective Product with a new or refurbished Product. If we, determine it is not reasonable to repair or replace the Defective Product, we may choose to refund to you the purchase price paid for the Defective Product, rather than repair or exchange it.
You may be responsible for payment of shipping and handling charges for the delivery of a repaired or replacement product.
Any replacement product will be warranted for the remainder of the original Warranty Period or thirty (30) calendar days, whichever is longer.
